Amara Somnia
Challenge: Amara Somnia is a short film that explores the destructive effects of caffeine addiction through a psychological lens. The project aimed to depict the mental and physical toll of dependency, showing how it can blur the line between reality and delusion. As a team, we worked to create a visually immersive narrative, using cinematography and performance to bring the character’s unraveling to life. I took on the role of an actor to challenge myself and better understand the storytelling process, while also contributing to scene direction.
Solution: Creating this film allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and gain a deeper understanding of storytelling through performance and direction. Seeing the final result reinforced the power of collaboration in shaping a project. It also showed me how creative risk-taking and teamwork can bring a story to life in a way that exceeds expectations.
